Hudson Valley Seed Company
Hudson Valley Seed Company offers heirloom and open-pollinated seeds for vegetable, flower, and herb varieties. Many of the seeds are produced on their own small farm; the rest are sourced from other local farmers, farmers in other regions, and from trustworthy wholesale seed houses that are not owned by or affiliated with multi-national biotech companies. They have signed the Safe Seed Pledge, and adhere to Vandana Shiva’s Declaration of Seed Freedom. Since May 2013, they are both a Certified Organic farm and a Certified Organic Handler (both certifications provided by NOFA-NY LLC).

Lavender Farmette
The Lavender Farmette is a mother & son owned and operated urban micro-farm located just outside of Emmaus, Pennsylvania. Florence Rodale and her son, Marlow, specialize in growing lavender and hand-crafting lavender products. In the last few years, they have expanded into a wider range of aromatic plants and local flowers. Our project began, about ten years ago, as an effort to save a beautiful piece of abandoned farmland in the Lehigh Valley area.

Over the years, the Lavender Farmette added other aromatic plants to extend their range of scents. They steam-distill their own essential oils and hydrosols which are used as the basis for the handcrafted products they create at the Farmette. The items we sell are made to order, in small batches; this means that you always get the freshest goods possible.

Eric and Christopher
Eric and Christopher met while participating in an art show outside of Philadelphia, PA. At the show Chris introduced Eric to a new art project he was developing titled “Push Pull Print” (2011). The show would invite 20 artists who were not screen print artists to convert their works into screen prints with his help. Upon completion, all the participating artists would showcase their finished pieces in a show. Eric accepted the challenge and through the process Chris and Eric were able to talk about their art and their businesses. Shortly after the completion of the second Push Pull Print project Eric had come up with the idea to put his images on to pillows.

Urban Agriculture Company
Chad Corzine, founder of the Urban Agriculture Company, wanted to create something that made growing and maintaining a garden simple with little to no mess. The result: the urban agriculture organic grow kit. All of their grow kits come with one pack of organic seeds, one portioned bag of OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) certified organic soil, and one container in which to grow your plant. Their grow kits come with a container made from 100% recycled tea bags allowing for perfectly drained and aerated soil, not to mention a very cool urban look. Simplifying and combining everything needed for a perfect growing experience, plus direct sun and proper watering- we had designed what I had been looking for all along.

The grow kits are designed to simplify the process of city gardening by providing you with everything needed for a fun and easy growing experience.

Kinsman Company
Kinsman Company was started over 30 years ago, in 1981, Pennsylvania on the Delaware River. Graham grew up in England where gardens are everywhere – and his Aunties and Uncles really did Dig for Victory. He has fond childhood memories of home grown fruits and veggies, as well as beautiful flowers.

Gardening is your connection to the entire natural world: Plants, birds, insects – and don’t forget the frogs and toads! Every flower you grow draws you closer to the living wonders that surround us.

Many of their products are made to their specific design. And even make some of their own products in their Oregon warehouse from local Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir.

Gardening should be an enjoyable part of everyone’s life – whether you have many acres or a small apartment balcony.
